You can top up your Smart Fuel Pass account by payment card or bank transfer. Every top-up below EUR 25, or the equivalent in the account currency, carries a fee of EUR 0.25 or its currency equivalent. The fee applies whether you top up by card or by SEPA bank transfer. When topping up through the portal or app, the exact top-up amount and fee are displayed before you confirm.
Top up by payment card
- Sign in to the app or portal and open your payment account.
- Select Top up account, enter the amount and choose card payment.
- Check the displayed fee before confirming. This small top-up fee does not apply from EUR 25 inclusive.
- Complete 3D Secure and wait until you are returned to Smart Fuel Pass.
If you did not return to Smart Fuel Pass after payment
If you closed the app or portal after 3D Secure, or the return from the payment gateway did not complete, the payment may already appear in your banking app even though your Smart Fuel Pass balance has not yet been updated. The system repeatedly checks the payment result during the following 15 minutes. Do not repeat the payment during this period; wait for the check to finish. If the payment is confirmed and the funds are credited to your payment account, you will receive a push notification in the mobile app.
Top up by bank transfer
For a SEPA transfer, use the bank account, currency and payment reference displayed for your account. A transfer without the required contract number or other reference may not be matched automatically. The small top-up fee also applies to bank transfers below the stated threshold.
A SEPA transfer is not always credited immediately. Not every bank supports SEPA Instant and standard transfers are processed in bank clearing cycles. A transfer sent at night, outside processing hours or from a bank without instant-payment support may therefore be credited in the next clearing cycle, for example the following morning.
Equivalent in another currency
If the account is held in a currency such as CZK or RON, the EUR 25 threshold and EUR 0.25 fee apply as the corresponding value in the account currency. The values shown before confirmation and the current Smart Fuel Pass price list are authoritative.
A top-up is not a charging charge
A top-up moves your own money to your payment account. The balance is then used to settle charging sessions. It is therefore not a separate invoice for electricity; the movement appears in the payment-account statement and charging documents are generated separately.
If a card top-up is missing, follow the missing or failed top-up guide. If a bank transfer is missing, follow the bank-transfer matching guide.
