If you entered the OCPP details but the charger remains offline, first check power, internet access, device time, and the exact OCPP address and charger identifier. Do not guess alternative servers or change protected manufacturer settings.
Step-by-step checks
- Confirm that the charger has power and that its display or service application does not show a fault.
- Confirm internet access over the selected LAN, Wi-Fi or SIM route. For a SIM, check its PIN, APN, data allowance and signal.
- Check the date, time, time zone and NTP. A substantially incorrect clock can prevent a secure WSS connection.
- Without retyping, compare the complete OCPP URL, protocol, any path, and charger identifier with the portal. A space, slash or different identifier can prevent connection.
- Save the configuration and restart the charger only as instructed by its manufacturer.
- After connection, verify the heartbeat or online status and perform a controlled test of authorisation, start and stop.
What to send to support
Send the contract number, location, manufacturer and model, charger identifier, time of the last attempt, exact error, connection type, and anonymised OCPP and network screenshots. Do not send passwords, full tokens, private keys or the SIM PIN.
If you are setting up OCPP for the first time, use the initial OCPP connection guide.
