Smart Fuel Pass is designed for drivers and for people who own or operate charging stations. These plain-language terms help you choose the right guide.
- Owner or operator of a charging station
- A person or company that connects chargers to Smart Fuel Pass, sets the charging tariff and manages the charging location.
- Charging location
- A physical place with one or more chargers, such as a hotel, car park, office or retail site.
- Connector
- The individual socket or cable on a charger used by one vehicle at a time.
- Access card
- A physical card used to identify a driver or vehicle. In some portal screens it is labelled as an RFID card.
- One-off charging
- Charging without creating a Smart Fuel Pass account, normally paid directly by payment card, mobile wallet or payment terminal.
- Temporary reservation
- An amount temporarily reserved before charging. It is settled to the final charging price or released after the session.
- Technical charger communication
- The secure connection between a charger and the platform. Installers may refer to it as OCPP; most drivers do not need to configure it.
- Roaming
- Charging at a location connected through another charging network.
